Rohit is Gautam’s best friend and they work in the same multinational bank. When one day Rohit sees Gautam propose a 60 years old female colleague in their office, Rohit knows that something is up with the sincere and 'good boy' Gautam. Rohit confronts Gautam and it is then that Gautam reveals that he has been in love with the beautiful and ambitious senior Vice President of their company, Roshni. All is good, but the twist is that Roshni is 12 years older than Gautam.

With hilarious turn of events, Rohit decides to check the level of Gautam’s dedication towards Gautam and Roshni's relationship. After their question and answer session where Rohit states the facts about the age problem and its probable complexities, Gautam curses Rohit as his head has been messed up by his best friend and he is having second thoughts about his 3 months old relationship.

Even when Gautam knows that Roshni is the only one for him, he decides to leave Roshni for their own benefits. But trouble arises when Gautam moves to Singapore with his another female colleague Payal and finds out that Payal has been in love with Gautam since the very beginning. Will Gautam choose Payal over Roshni? Read this romantic comedy with comic twist scenes to find out more.

Writing style:

The book has been written to the point. The positive aspect of the book is that there are no unnecessary details or sub plots in the book. Though I would say that the emotional side of the book could have been brought out if the characters were a little intricately detailed.

Author Karan Sharma has inputted plot twists throughout and that is what makes this book a fast paced one. This is another good thing about the book as because of this reason I was still intrigued till the end.

About the book:

Let's be honest here. The plot of the book is a very mundane one and this 'age difference problem' themed novels or films are ubiquitous nowadays. But what stood out in this book is that the book starts with not those cheesy 'love at first sight' stuffs. The book begins where the protagonists of our story are already in love and the male protagonist is pondering over his relationship decisions.

I really liked the characters. While Gautam is the perfect gentleman in this story, Rohit is the opposite of what a gentleman should be. The conversations involving Rohit were my favourite parts from the book. Even the female characters like Payal, Roshni and Gautam's older sister Richa are very realistic, strong headed and independent women of today's time.

Overall, the book is a light read and if you are looking for a one time funny romantic read then you should go for this book.

About the author:

After more than twenty years of working in a highly successful family business and owning a popular brand in the interiors industry, Karan decided it was time to get into self publishing—an idea that came to mind when he saw his son having so much fun reading books. It rekindled a latent passion for writing that he had developed after his college days, leading to his first book. It Happens, along with other books that will come out in due course, will be a testament to his storytelling and creative skills.

Karan has a beautiful family with two young boys, Aakash and Aayansh, and Aarti as his lovely life companion. He is a commerce graduate and a battle-hardened businessman. His other passions include both playing and watching cricket and football, as well as being an avid traveller.
