April 2018 Wrap Up

Hey guys! It's late but here I am with my April reads. My exam ended on the 3rd week of April so I could read 6 books, one of them being a short story. Here are the books that I read:

1. Letters to My Ex by Nikita Singh

This is a story of broken hearts that are trying to fix itself. The protagonist tells the readers her story through a series of letters that she writes dedicating to her ex. Read my review here.

2. Turtles All The Way Down by John Green.

Not a big fan of John Green yet I like reading his book because he comes up with weird plots with weird characters. Yes, I find his characters weird but in a  good way. Turtles All The Way Down is no such exception. The story did not impress me but the book talks about OCD and that is what made me like the book.

3. Mr. Cool Detective by Arun K. Nair

A delightful detective short story. I really liked reading this book/story and it took less than 45 minutes to read. Read my review here.

4. Solitude and Other Obsessions by Uma, Binod, Trupti, Shruti and Saurin

Read a poetry book after a long long time and I liked this one. Penned by 5 poets, this book talks about life and its various flavours. Read my review here.

5. The Grateful Manor Horror by Duncan McKinlay

Though the genre of the book is horror, it had less (or no) horror and more gory sex scenes. I don't think I liked this book. Here is my review.

6. The Naturalist by Andrew Mayne

My best read of this month and I loved it to every bit. The book is a psychological thriller and it has the right amount of suspense and informatics technology used. I have recommended this book here.

This was my April list and I am happy to say that I enjoyed most of the books. Would love to know about your April reads. Mention in the comments below. Happy reading! 😊
