Christmas romance recommendation | Let it Snow by Maureen Johnson, John Green and Lauren Myracle
Ahhh my heart is full. I didn't think I'd write a review on Christmas day. But it's actually more of a I-want-y'all-to-read-this-book sort of a post than a book review. Let it Snow has been lying on my shelf for exactly 3 years (I bought it as my 2017 Christmas read but reading it as my 2020 Christmas read) and I'm so effing glad I finally read it.
Maureen Johnson, John Green and Lauren Myracle spins three short stories in one book, and the characters have a common thread. All the events start on Christmas Eve and ends on the day after Christmas. It all starts when Jubilee gets stuck on the train during the worst storm ever. Worst of all, she gets stuck with a lovelorn boy and 14 cheerleaders. She notices a Waffle House outside and as she steps into the small, idyllic town of Gracetown, she sets off a series of events that would change her life and the lives of 5 other Gracetown inhabitants.
The book is the cutest! The characters are the cutest! The stories are the cutest! If I say anything about the stories or the characters it will ruin the fun for you. I need y'all to read this for yourself, get into the book blindly - because the revelations about how the characters from one story is connected with another is so comedic. And the book is filled with hilarious anecdotes, misadventures and dialogues. It's such a fun book to read. It's all so Christmasy and filled with Christmas magic. Go and read this if you haven't yet!
